  • Celebrate Irish Cuisine this National Heritage Week

National Heritage Week 2017 recognizes and honors the Nature and People of Ireland. Food is an essential part of Irish heritage – especially for Chef Network members - so we’ve compiled a list of Heritage Week events that celebrate one of the many great aspects of Irish life – the food!

Join Sharon Noonan, presenter of the Best Possible Taste radio show and podcast, on a food tour of her hometown, Newcastle. Or, head to Connemara for another Tour of Food.

Other excursions include Community Food and Farming with Derrybeg Farm, Foraging with the Kildare Library or explore with the Roscommon Historical and Archaeological society

These are just a few of the many events planned across the country this week - and that’s not all. There’s even more food-themed fun happening across the country through the weekend at the Flood Fleadh Ballina and Taste of Donegal Festivals.

Head down to Donegal for the county’s annual food festival Taste of Donegal, complete with many demonstrations that will continue to inspire even after the festival ends.

Find details about these and even more events by visiting the Heritage Week site, and stay updated on Chef Network for more updates - and have a great weekend!
