Aimed at senior chefs and team leaders, this webinar is part of Chef Network’s continued work to develop and improve kitchen culture. Understanding your core values, why you do what you do, can help you keep going when times get tough. Communicating these values clearly can help you bring your team along with you.

 

We know that in times of crisis, and in particular when businesses are suffering, culture can suffer too and we believe now more than ever, it is vital that the chef profession looks after its people. In order to do this, we need to become better leaders, better communicators, better team builders. This session will help you begin to consider and develop these skills, and learn how to effectively deal with change and support your team through change.

 

What will be covered:

The role and importance of leadership and culture in times of uncertainty.

 

These unprecedented times call for you to stretch beyond your normal comfort zone and be even more vulnerable than usual.

 

The session will cover:

  • The Golden Circle - WHY - WHAT – HOW – how you enable your team to understand why you do what you do.
  • The Four Stages of Change – Denial, Anger, Exploration and Commitment
  • Communication – clear sincere and honest
  • The importance of emotional intelligence and empathy in today’s leader

 

Learn leadership skillsets to help you adapt to how the world has changed.

 

Format:

This session will take place online. Places are limited.

Session will take the form of a presentation and talk, followed by Q&A.

 

TRAINER:

 

Mark Anderson brings a unique perspective to this training, as he combines a long career as a chef and team leader in the catering and hospitality industry with expertise and training in leadership and coaching. With this combination of a deep understanding of the industry, experience of managing both small and large teams in a variety of settings, and specialised training in psychology and coaching, Mark is ideally positioned to share real world leadership skills with fellow chefs.

 

Mark is Culinary Director for Gather&Gather Ireland and holds a diploma in Sports Psychology and an advanced diploma in Coaching with Neuroscience.
