Join us on Tuesday 20th April with Blenders chefs Nick Foley & Aidan McGrath and we continue to explore the topic of Taking On Takeaway.

This time, Nick & Aidan will take us through some recipes for success focused on Sides and Small Bites which are suitable for take away and are simple additions to any menu in 2021.

Sides and Small Bites can be anything from the perfect accompaniment to the star of the show! Sides allow chefs to be extra creative with colours and flavours and have become a more important part of menus during Covid times.

Nick Foley:

Having trained in GMIT in the early 1990’s in Culinary Arts I worked in hotels and restaurants across Ireland and Canada starting as Chef de Partie and eventually working my way to Head Chef. I have a passion for BBQ and have competed for Ireland at 2 World BBQ championships and was host President bringing the World championships to Limerick in 2017. I joined Blenders now 12 years ago and have enjoyed working with our Product Development team and with many great customers here in Ireland and abroad since.

Aidan McGrath:

I started my culinary career in the 80s with Fitzers at the National Gallery, Point Depot and ran their Baggot St restaurant before joining Thomas Read Group where I oversaw operations in The Bailey, Life Café Bar, Pravda and Searsons and was Head Chef in The Harbourmaster. In 2001 I joined Blenders where I have enjoyed working with Product Development and with wonderful customers here in Ireland and abroad now for 20 years.
