CHEF NETWORK JOB POSTING GUIDELINES
Advertising a Chef Job on chefnetwork.ie – read before you post!
Chef Network was established to promote professionalism, highlight career development and learning opportunities, and create a positive culture in the chef profession. We want to see these same values reflected in the job opportunities advertised here (a service that is free for Chef Network members and available at a small fee for non-members)
Chefs, like any other professionals, deserve to know a bit about the job before they apply and to know why they should come and work with you.
Firstly, please make sure you provide the essential details like the name of the business, location, grade and level of experience required. Provide as much information as possible about the working conditions (hours, holidays etc). We encourage you to give an indication of salary scale/hourly rate.
Chefs are in demand. If you are trying to attract highly sought-after chefs to come to your kitchen, tell them about the opportunities they will have, what is special about your workplace, and why they should work with you. We encourage you to think about and share details on how you create learning opportunities and how chefs will have a chance to progress their career. Let them know what the core values of your business are and what kind of team they will be part of.
Finally, before you post, have you reviewed and signed up to the Chef Network Kitchen Workplace Charter? Everyone deserves to work in a fair work environment under decent conditions. Let prospective employees know what you are doing to create a positive Kitchen Culture.
Above all, please be transparent, and make an effort to provide as much relevant information as possible.
To assist you in posting a more effective job ad that meets our requirements, we have provided a guideline template below. If your ad does not include key information requested you may be asked to review it before it can be approved for posting.
